Think Green !!!

Isn’t it ironic that Belgaum, the most beautiful city (Venugram) is now losing its trees? An increase in noise pollution, a rise in global warming and development of infrastructure has all resulted in this.
Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav Mandal ( Chatrapati road,Hindu Nagar ) has taken an initiatives to make a difference in the city, and is now playing a major role as the city’s greenery deteriorates . Members and local governing bodies are providing tremendous support for planting trees. This year we are planting 500 trees around Hindu Nagar. Besides planting saplings, members are contributing in raising funds and spreading awareness on global warming and preserving nature.
The function will be held on 18 september2010 near Hosmani chal, 2nd Gate Tilakwadi Belgaum, Sarvajanak Ganesh Utsav Mandal invites everyone to be a part on this event (THINK GREEN) and adopt saplings Do whatever it takes to spread some greenery and heal the earth.

Every second the earth loses an area of Rainforest the size of two football fields with tragic consequences for both developing and industrial countries.
Think Green project replants previously cleared areas of rainforest and establishes habitat for the plants and animals endemic to the specific ecosystem, which protects its precious biodiversity.
This biodiversity maintains our atmosphere and establishes the ecosystem upon which all of humanity depends, including rainfall generation and climate regulation. Rainforests also hold the key to new medicines of benefit to humankind.
